Brownbill Associates Ltd always provides case managers who are experienced at working with children, young people and adults with complex acquired conditions and injuries following a traumatic incident at birth or later in life, such as cerebral palsy, brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex orthopaedic trauma and amputation. This ensures clients receive a high quality service.

All our case managers are committed health and social care professionals who are dedicated to supporting clients and their families to adjust to their changed situations, to live in the community, to lead active and engaged lives and to make their own decisions and choices whenever possible. The case managers utilise their professional skills and experience to this end and are strong advocates for their clients.

In 2011, I was asked to assess the communication and swallowing abilities of a man who had complex physical and learning difficulties. At that time, he was in an inappropriate placement which could not meet his needs. He was withdrawn, with little expressive communication. I became part of a bespoke package of care, which included other specialist health professionals and a dedicated support team. Today, he lives in his own specially adapted home with 24 hour staff support. He loves being around other people, is much more communicative and happy! His life has been transformed. This would not have been possible without the professionalism, knowledge, perseverance and highly tuned negotiation skills of the case manager.
